DNA is a funny thing. There is no way to predict what will show up in your report. Sometimes very deep ancestry dominates and is a surprise to the client. Post again after you receive your report and I will try to help.

Re: Burden Family=Cherokee?
I asked Dr. Yates to research your question and he was not able to find references to the Burden name in the list of names compiled by Bob Blankenship, Cherokee Roots Vol 1 or 2.

Re: Native American map & marker
The Native American I marker is a stronger indication of ancestry and is less common. The Native American II marker is more common, occurring in close to or probably more than half the reports we process.

Re: Origin of SSA III marker
Unfortunately, due to migration and intermarriage among the peoples and tribes of Africa over the years, we are not able to be more specific at this time to the origin of your Sub Saharan African markers.

Re: Jewish markers with Iberian background
Hi, Lori- I can give you some clarity regarding your report. In the Analysis section, the items in parentheses mean that Jewish was # 30 out of your top 50, you received two markers in the marker panel, and if you look at the map on page 11, you'll see the green diamond referred to on Israel. Green ...

If you want to send me a private message or email your name at suel2dnaconsultants.com I can try to pull up your report from last yea...

Re: Viking Cat that discovered America
How about the Norwegian Elkhound? Is there any mystery about its origin? I guess it's just a regular dog without the unusual physique like the Maine Coon.
