Re: Cape Verde match
It refers to Cape Verde Islands, which belong to Brazil, and are a highly mixed (Spanish/Portuguese and African) population.

Re: South America Map
It depends, but most are Brazilian, Venezuelan etc. Latin American or Spanish/Portuguese/mixed. The triangles in Brazil and Trinidad are African.
Re: Map
Most of the green dots in South American refer to Iberian (Spanish/Portuguese) American (mixed with American Indian) but there are four or five that are purely indigenous populations (Amazonian Indian, Kichwa), and the triangles refer to African there.

Re: Source (Sample) populations for the Sub-Saharan African III marker

Re: Jewish markers with Iberian background
Hi, Lori, and welcome to the Jewish forum! As Sue remarked, Jewish and Middle Eastern are overlapping populations. Genetically, there is little difference between an Arab and a Jew, Palestinian and Israeli (except the Israeli may have more European admixture). You question about blood type is not re...

Re: Delaware Indians
Believe it or not, despite their importance, the Delaware Indians have not been studied much. At the end of the removal period, Delawares were forcibly joined together with the Cherokee in northeast Indian Territory. They were formerly blood enemies. They were denied any reservation in the East or M...

Re: Blackfox-Inali-Enoli
Hi, I'm not sure how this could work. I also am (doubly) descended from two of Black Fox's daughters, Mary Ann and Nancy. From what I can piece together, their mother passed them a J1a haplotype. It led to late adult onset blindness in descendants that also married J's. There was a lot of intermarri...

Hi, Thanks for your vote of confidence. This has become a familiar story to us at DNA Consultants. Not everyone, however, has been as enthusiastic in accepting the evidence. It is indeed a life changing experience, for generations of the family. Jewish Gen is also a great place to search, and you ca...
