Re: Native American Florida Match
I believe there was probably a research paper that listed various groups STR allele values. Those are sources of those allele number data that you see in your results the chart with green, yellow and blue... like Locus D8S1179 Allele values 14 and 15 etc. The FBI puts out information on allele frequ...

Re: Cherokee, Natufian and American Indian
Wow, that is great. :) If you would like to write me an email at emmdee2@gmail.com or maybe a private message I would like to compare some surnames and see if we can find the connection. Also can give you my sister's number but the kits that were done on Genesis first just don't have the same detail...

Re: Cherokee, Natufian and American Indian
Which GEDMatch admixture test are you using? It appears to be an ancient calculator Gedrosia ancient 6. I show 37.42 and my sister a little over 38% Natufian on that calculator but I do not show Melungeon at all on the DNAConsultants Native Fingerprint and my sister does not on her Cherokee test. My...

Re: A few family photos
Great photos. I need to get scanning the ones I have, many I don't know who they are... just on my dad's side somehow.

Re: Enrolled Cherokees
I am the opposite matching the Enrolled Cherokee as my #1 but not the others. Then my sister none of the Cherokee were top 50 and only Lumbee. I had Lumbee around my 42nd of top 50 World matches. I also had Florida Native high, like top 5. My sister showed a lot of African, Jamaica or African Americ...

Re: Guiana Amerindian Slaves in 1600’s Barbados
Well now I looked at 23andme and they have done an update as of October. They don't give me but do my dad, sister and my son (from my side!) some trace Siberian and Broadly Chinese and SE Asian now. My version 4 not reading the same on their new chip I presume but my son prior had Native from his da...

Re: Guiana Amerindian Slaves in 1600’s Barbados
Hello Christopher. My 23andme is on version 4 and my dad, sister and one of my sons on version 5. Mine originally had a vague E Asian and/or Native American trace. Over updates they have erased that. My dad and all show some trace African that they are stepping out. Took it off the map into trace an...

Re: Native Americans in match list
Hi Jimbo. My # 5 on DNA Consultants was Florida Native and I have had another service saying I have Muskogean Creek Florida based... but my family was not so far south. So to me that makes either Lumbee or Cherokee more likely, but I believe that there was some mixing. No card here either, just a fa...

Re: Native Americans in match list
A pure guess if that #14 North American Native Americans was your only or highest Native match might be that the test can see the relationship but can't say which tribe you are related to? I tried to figure how they came to that sample size, not sure if it is a combination of several or its own group.
