Mobilian Indians

Postby D J Thornton » Sun Aug 23, 2015 10:11 am

The Mobilian Indians considered Bottle Creek Mounds as a sacred site. The Mobilians lived near the French.
They claimed their gods were at the mound, if you touched them you would die. One Indian took Bienville to see them. Bienville found 5 figurines of ceramic of people and an owl. The Indian was amazed that Bienville wasn't killed when he took them. No one knows what happened to them. Would have perhaps told us more of the culture or if they were Spanish.

There was a trade language that developed call Mobilian Lingala Franca
